Riding a Summer Wave of Goodwill & Giving!
As fall quickly approaches, Port of Subs continues to ride a wave of goodwill and giving! Check out how some of our franchise locations assisted their communities this summer:
Partnered with Beasley Broadcasting and the Salvation Army, Southern Nevada Port of Subs Co-op stepped up for the 7th annual “Mike and Karla/Project H2O water drive.” With an original goal of 5000 water bottles, previous years’ records were shattered when an astounding 15,234 were collected by the Co-op! The bottles collected from the water drive went to economically disadvantaged residents of Las Vegas, ensuring hydration and well-being, despite the soaring summer temperatures.
A project 25 years in the making, Captain Pete Lumianski and his volunteer team aim to memorialize the USS Phoenix, a Cold War submarine as a monument at Indian Steele School Park in Phoenix. A $2000 donation raised from Port of Subs’ Arizona Co-op is helping this memorial reach the finish line, as the City of Phoenix has allocated an additional $3 million toward the monument and construction is on the horizon. Port of Subs is honored to be contributing toward commemoration, recognition, and memorialization of Cold War veterans.
Northern Nevada Stores come together to support Artown, a popular arts and culture festival in Reno, Nevada. In a show of support and appreciation for the creative arts, Sierra Nevada Port of Subs Co-op fed 300 volunteers, helping to make this beloved community festival the widely acclaimed success that it has become known for. Port of Subs takes pride in the joy and inspiration Artown gives to both residents and visitors year after year.
Port of Subs Northern Nevada Co-op joined forces with Lake Tahoe’s annual Death Ride, a challenging bike race through the scenic mountains surrounding Lake Tahoe. The co-op provided food and nourishment to over 1200 cyclists during the lunch stop, ensuring no participant went hungry despite the vigorous nature of a “Death Ride”. Beautiful scenery, athletes of all abilities and amazing food from Port of Subs ensured this event was an outstanding success!
