• Hosting a fundraiser for the Special Olympics, presented by our Boise and Nampa Port of Subs Locations.  25% of all purchases were donated to local athletes to help cover uniform and equipment and travel costs,  and other competition-related expenses.
  
• Presenting July 4th swag bags and delicious food to show appreciation for veterans and their families through the Veterans Guest House of Reno, Nevada.  Port of Subs’ Director of Training, Misty Dunlap, and Supply Chain Manager, Kristen Ford, (who both also happen to be U.S. ARMY Veterans as well) lead this initiative.
     
• Our Arizona Co-Op joined forces with the Salvation Army to provide weekly meals for 300 displaced individuals, in response to Governor Katie Hobb’s request for assistance, as these individuals worked hard toward re-establishment.
  
• Finally, rounding out a strong list of positive news, we highlight the ongoing annual efforts of community service and sponsorship, led by our Sierra Nevada Port of Subs Co-op.  They include: Providing food for  “America’s Most Beautiful Bike Ride”, a leukemia benefit in Lake Tahoe, giving free food certificates to blood donors for Vitalant Blood Services Partnership, sponsoring the Reno Rodeo by providing 2,300 meals to event staff and volunteers, elevating the Hot August Nights Spring Fever Event by including promotional items and coupons in participant bags, while giving daily meals to volunteers, and lastly, supporting Street Vibrations Spring Motorcycle Rally by providing daily meals to all volunteers. The Sierra Nevada Co-op looks forward to these yearly events and continues to be a presence that helps to drive their widely known success!
