Port of Subs
Port of Subs began in 1972 when two brothers opened a submarine sandwich shop in Sparks, Nevada, laying the foundation for what would become a brand with a strong and loyal West Coast following. Known for made-fresh-to-order sandwiches featuring freshly sliced meats and cheeses, fresh-baked breads, and signature zesty dressings and spices prepared in front of the customer, Port of Subs built its reputation on quality and consistency. The brand began franchising in 1985 to meet growing demand and today operates 125+ locations, supported by more than 50 years of proven business performance. Port of Subs offers a diverse menu including hot and cold subs, wraps, salads, breakfast items, desserts, and beverages, while remaining deeply committed to the communities it serves through local sponsorships, school partnerships, and charitable organizations. In 2023, the brand was acquired by Area 15 Ventures and is now owned by Dave Liniger, founder of RE/MAX, fueling rapid growth as Port of Subs expands very quickly across the nation from its West Coast roots.
