Rollie Lane Rescued
Port of Subs #106 and Boise Co-op Pins a Win at Wrestling Invitational
When the popular Rollie Lane Wrestling Invitational at the Ford Center in Nampa, Idaho faced a critical make-or-break moment, the Port of Subs Boise Co-op and the team at Store #106 stepped in to save the day! With the tournament hosting 98 high schools from 5 different states set to occur in a matter of days, the tournament rep reached out to Port of Subs, desperate for help. After their sponsor backed out just two weeks prior to the event and left them scrambling to feed 400 coaches, medical staff, and event volunteers, the crew from #106 embraced the “Yes is the answer, what was the question” mentality and set in motion a plan to meet the needs of the invitational.
The crew worked with a local vendor to get donated produce for the order and came in hours before opening to knock out the trays. To thank Port of Subs for their support, high school wrestling teams took turns walking around the crowd with a sign shaker and made announcements every 15 minutes expressing their gratitude and directing participants to the Port of Subs catering area. The store saw a line out the door until close, and they are excited about this new community connection. Way to go #106 for being the most accommodating neighborhood sandwich shop in Nampa!
