Port of Subs Partners with The Discovery in Reno, NV

2,200 Kids Benefit Thanks to a Collaborative Journey for Education

We’re over the moon to share some stellar news! The Sierra Nevada Port of Subs Co-Op partnered with The Discovery in Reno, NV to fuel an outreach STEM program for underprivileged students. Over 2,200 budding scientists from four Title 1 schools not only got to explore fascinating hands-on exhibits, but also enjoyed FREE meals from Port of Subs during after-school Family Science Nights throughout March. As we reflect on the Director’s “thank you” note to the Co-op, it’s clear that together with The Discovery  and the Washoe County School District, The Sierra Nevada Co-op helped foster an environment that sparks curiosity and a love for learning. It’s electric to see the impact on our young learners!
