Local Reno News Favorite Mike Alger’s Farewell Party Catered by Port of Subs

Beloved TV personality Mike Alger made his last broadcast yesterday after 35 years on the air at KTVN in Reno. Coincidentally, his wife was in Store #002 in South Reno, buying a sandwich. She started chatting with Tammy, the General Manager, who was serving her at the front line. Tammy congratulated her on Mike’s retirement and asked if there would be a celebration event. Mike’s wife mentioned that they were hosting a party that evening with about 200 family members, local celebrities, and guests.

Tammy then took it a step further and asked if Port of Subs could cater the event. Just 10 minutes later, they had a massive catering order for the event underway, which the store delivered that evening!
